MAE

Founder of Ommaega, Mae's yoga journey started in 2018 when she needed an outlet to tame her "monkey mind". As a dancer from a young age of 12, movement has always been her interest and yoga was the natural choice. Coupled with 6.5 years of reading Psychology, her interest in ecopsychology grew when she pursued her 300-hours of yoga teacher training.

 

A strong believer in the mind-body connection, Mae focuses on breathwork in her hatha yoga classes. Exercising our ability to sync our breath with movement brings us into the present moment. By being in the present moment, we are also made aware of our alignment which enables the safe execution of the asanas. She also believes in the healing power of nature and brings her classes to the outdoors.

Apart from yoga, she's also a fervent participant in the circular economy and is trying to use one less plastic every day.
